The Philosophy

The Philosophy

We don’t begin with pathology. We begin with relationship

SomaEros is a contemporary practice exploring the relationship between body, intimacy, desire and Eros. Grounded in contemporary sexology, somatics and nervous system science, the practice is guided by one simple belief.

The body is not something
to overcome.

The body is not something
to overcome.

It is a relationship
to cultivate.

It is a relationship
to cultivate.

Private Practice

Private Practice

We believe our bodies are intelligent.

Individual sessions exploring intimacy, sexuality, and your relationship with the body, eros, desire, and pleasure. This work moves at the pace of your nervous system, not the pace of a program.

Where we don’t start

What’s wrong with me?

This question searches for a flaw. It can leave you feeling like something is broken and needs fixing — which usually makes it harder to relax into the work.

Where we start

What relationship has my body learned?

This question looks for a pattern, not a fault. Patterns can be understood, worked with, and gradually changed — that’s the actual work we do together.

From here, our work is not just about fixing but more about developing capacity

Beyond Fixing

Beyond Fixing

What relationship
has my body learned?

From here, our work becomes less about fixing and more about cultivating capacity.

01

Capacity for intimacy

Intimacy becomes the capacity to stay connected to yourself while allowing yourself to be seen, felt, and met by another.

02

Capacity for pleasure

03

Capacity for choice

04

Capacity for relationship

05

Capacity to be more fully alive

Less interested in fixing.
More interested in understanding.
